Meet The Members

At Howl, we have members from all over the UK that come and join us monthly.

We asked them if they wanted to take part in “meet the members” to share their bio and what Howl means to them and they were more than willing to share!

We love them all ❤

Arooooooo, I’m a Newcastle based pup in his early 20’s, I have been a pup since November 2018. I can be a bit shy till I get to know you, but after that (or treats) I’ll come out of my shell and soon you’ll wish you hadn’t as I can be rather bouncy and energetic.

We asked him, what does Howl mean to you?

“I see Howl as more than just a social event, to me, it is more like a family, where it doesn’t matter about the trivial stuff like age, gender or anything else, anyone is welcome provided you treat others as you’d like to be treated yourself.
The event has helped me open up to others and to be more comfortable in myself.”

I’m from the Newcastle area originally but I live close to Manchester now. I can be shy and quiet at first, but that changes once you start to get to know me! I like to think that I’m quite approachable and I’m happy to to talk to anyone. I’m a creative, I try my best to be outgoing, and I’m definitely an all around good boy!

We asked him, what does Howl mean to you?

“Howl was the first pup event I went to, and it’s still by far my favourite. I’ve never felt more welcome or at home in any scene in Newcastle than I do at Howl. I’ve made some of my best friends here, and coming from someone who had a hard time doing that I think that that speaks volumes! The staff are always really kind and they go out of their way to make this event a safe space. A lot of hard work and a lot of love go into making Howl happen each month, and I really think that it shows.”

Newcastle based (old) pup that should be using a zimmer frame, but instead chooses to be a boisterous derpy pup.

Can be found dancing poorly, posing for the camera, or chatting total bollocks to anyone unfortunate enough to be in earshot.

We asked him, what does Howl mean to you?

“As much as I avoid social situations, Howl is the one place where I feel at ease and can release the inner-pup. I can be Dinky within a safe environment and without the fear of judgement, scrutiny, or feeling ostracised.

Having my monthly dose of Howl to look forward to, and participate in, provides the social fix I need and helps the mental health. If it were not for the admin team and the attendees making it such a good event that keeps me keep coming back, I would instead be a reclusive pup.”

A very NSFW Puppy / Fox / Thing.

I suck at writing these Bio do-dahs (I also suck other things too, quite well I’m told)

I have always been into pup play, it has stuck with me as an escape and a way to enjoy myself.

I can be both very excitable and shy (until I’ve had a few drinks) but I’m always willing to chat with people and love to make new Friendos and meet new people.

Ear scritches, pets and belly rubs are required!

We asked her, what does Howl mean to you?

“Its a friendly, safe and open space where you can be free to express yourself, and let your hair down. The community is caring and great and everyone is very supportive of each other. Be warned of Wolfie’s dancing tho.

I’m 30 years young, new to the pup scene, yet to actually go to a howl event. But everyone from what I’ve seen of it are so nice and caring, yous are all so unique and that’s what makes the event so joyful.

We asked him, what does Howl mean to you?

“A space where I can be me and not have to worry about judgemental people, regardless of size, sexuality, race, religion and so on and so forth.

“Howl is a space and event built around pup play and it’s community. It’s a place to meet amazing new people from all around the north and beyond, as well as the lovely locals. A well run, fun event that I always look forward to. And an excellent sense of community and welcoming.

I’m a shy pup at first but get to know me more and find out I’m a bundle of fun.

I enjoy gaming both PC and PS4.
I like family guy, Lord of the rings and Star wars.

I first stated pupping out round 2018. While I’ve only been to howl a couple times I enjoyed it and had a nice space to pup out and be my self.

Though I would like to go more once it opens again and get talking to others and make new friends to pup out with and enjoy life.

We asked him, what does Howl mean to you?

“Howl is a place where I feel I can be myself once I’ve gotten over my anxiety over meeting peeps. I feel it’s a fun safe space where you are free to pup out and talk and even make new friends, buddys to. I feel that without howl I wouldn’t have the courage to pup out and meet new peoples.”
