Puppy play is a type of consensual roleplay enjoyed by some members of the LGBTQ+ community. In puppy play, participants act out scenarios involving puppies or dogs. This can involve:
Wearing costumes: People might dress up in pup hoods, collars, leashes, and other accessories to embody their canine characters.
Playful behavior: Crawling on all fours, playing with toys, barking, wagging tails, and responding to commands are all common activities within the boundaries of consent.
Self-exploration: For some, puppy play can be a form of escapism and a way to explore different aspects of their personality and desires in a safe and playful environment.
Every pup play event is different. At Howl, we offer people a safe space to be themselves and unleash their inner animal. Some people like to stand and chat; some enjoy dancing or playing the ball pit. There are dog beds in the corner for those pups who just like to snuggle and sleep. There's a great selection of music, and a bar with a wide range of drinks.
You do not need to have any gear, and not everyone wears it all the time. You should dress how you want to and be yourself!
You don't need to have anything special to particiate in puppy play. Some have pup hoods, harnesses, tails, collars and more, but these are not a requirement. Wear whatever makes you feel happy!
